It took me three tries and a fair amount of fiddling to get the sleeves right. I won’t remember that when I wear the dress this summer, I’ll be thinking about the heat and trying to remember how many days it’s been since I last watered the new bur oak, but maybe because I have been practicing taking my time with things, I will let myself sit on the bench in the shade and just watch the garden for a while.
