I printed the dragons on this dress a year ago

but it was only the other day I came across the

photos on the internet. Apparently winged

dragon lizards exist for real. Small, but colorful.

One more example of how the people who tell you

not to believe in stories are revealing

their own denial instead of your foolishness.

This is the dress I wear when it’s too hot

to wear anything else. Billowy cambric cotton,

tropical shadow green. Heading for 101 degrees

today. I mean, I enjoyed all those trips

to faraway inspiring soul-feeding places,

courtesy of the fossil fuel industry.

So I can’t say I’m not part of the problem.

But I never said the flying dragons didn’t exist.
